This is such an simple dish you can do on a weeknight or weekend and will still impress folks! This beef and broccoli Chinese dish is a winner! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
3 Tbs cornstarch, divided
1/2 cup water, plus
2 Tbs water, divided
2 cloves garlic cloves
1 1/2 lb flank steak cut thinly, against the grain
2 Tbs oil (whatever you like, I used clarified butter and sesame seed oil)
4 cups broccoli florets
1 small onion, cut into wedges
1 cup bell pepper
1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 Tbs brown sugar
1 tsp fresh ground ginger
Jasmine Rice cooked
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and minced garlic until smooth.
2. Add beef and toss.
3. Get Blackstone or wok smoking hot, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until beef reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm. Careful don't over cook as you'll cook more later on with the veggies.
4. Stir-fry broccoli and onion in remaining oil for 4-5 minutes.
5. Return beef to pan.
6. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and remaining cornstarch and water until smooth; add to the pan.
7. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
8. Serve over rice.
