Burger Dogs

These Burger Dogs were actually very good. They infuse the flavor of a hamburger all in a hot dog bun. Give these a try, you won't regret it.



Ingredients:

1-pound 80/20 ground chuck

Hussey's Heifer Dust

4 slices American cheese cut in 4 strips

6 tbsp mayonnaise, divided

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mustard

4 hot dog buns

4 tbsp Grillo Pickles pickled de gallo




Directions:

 

1. Pre heat griddle to medium.

 

2. Take about 1/4 pound of ground chuck and flatten it out on some plastic wrap. Make as square as possible. Season meat with Heifer Dust.Take four strips of cheese and put on top of the seasoned meat. Add a tablespoon of mayo to the cheese followed by some ketchup and then some mustard. ( you can leave out the ketchup and mustard if desired)

 

3. Take the edge of the plastic wrap and roll the meat into the shape of a hot dog.

 

4. Put Burger dogs on the griddle. Season the outside with more Heifer Dust. Cook till a nice crust forms and turn 90 degrees. Continue cooking and turning until all sides are cooked.

 

5. Put buns on griddle to toast and dome them with a little water to steam the buns. When steamed to your liking, remove buns from griddle and open slightly. Add some more mayonnaise to the bun then add the burger dog.

 

6. Add pickled de gallo, ketchup and red onion to the top and enjoy
