These hot dogs on the Blackstone griddle will take you back to those baseball games, like they did for me. A small twist on this with making red slaw instead of a mayonnaise based coleslaw. It's a great twist and used a lot in our area.
Ingredients
Slaw
1 /3 head cabbage chopped fine
1 /2 cup ketchup
1 /2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 /4 tsp black pepper
1 /4 tsp red pepper
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar (not red wine like I noted one time in the video) Chilli:
1 /4 lb Ground beef
1 /4 cup ketchup
2 tsp chilli powder
2 3 tbsp water
Salt to taste
7 Hot dogs of choice
7 Buns of choice
Directions
Step 1
1 First mix the ingredients of the slaw in a bowl, (you can put cabbage in a food processor to chop fine). Set aside. Put ground beef on the griddle and brown up while chopping. When browned, put in a small pan. Add the rest of the ingredients and keep warm.
Step 2
2 Put a little oil down on griddle and put hot dogs down. Cook to your liking. Put buns on griddle to heat.
Step 3
3 To assemble, add some mayo to each bun, the a hot dog followed by mustard, ketchup and chili and red slaw. Add chopped onion if desired
