Footlong or regular size, hot dogs are great on the Blackstone griddle! This dog was dressed with chili, cheese, bacon, and jalapeno peppers! It was certainly some good groceries!
Ingredients
Chili
½ lb ground beef
1 - 3 tablespoons chili powder
¼ tsp beef powder
¼ cup ketchup
¼ Up to cup water
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Hot Dog:
4 Red foot long hot dogs
4 foot long buns
4 tbsp mayonnaise
½ cup Cheddar cheese grated
4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
pickled jalapeno
Directions
Step 1
1. Preheat griddle to med/low and add a small pan. Add ground beef and break up as it cooks. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Let simmer.
Step 2
2. While chili simmers, add your red dogs to the griddle. Char them for just a bit on each side. They are cooked but you want them to be 140 degrees inside. Put a rack on griddle and put your buns on it. Squirt some water and cover with lid to steam buns. Steam for about a minute. Remove the rack with spatula so it will be easier to transport back to griddle to melt cheese and start to build them.
Step 3
3. First add mayo, then a hot dog, chili, cheese and bacon. Transfer back to the grill and put water down and dome it to melt the cheese for about 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from griddle, add jalapeno's and enjoy.
