Updated: Aug 11

A subscriber Southern Born Southern Bred recommended have my take on Cracker Barrel maple bacon chicken they have, so I did and made this totally awesome maple chicken sandwich on the Blackstone griddle. One of my top favorite chicken sandwiches for sure! Full recipe is linked below.

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts, cut in half

8 slices bacon

4 Martin Potato Buns

4 slices tomato

shredded lettuce

Glaze:

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tsp garlic paste

3 tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp Heifer Dust

Mayonnaise Cream Sauce:

1/4 cup Dukes Mayonnaise

1/2 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp Heifer Dust

Directions:

1. Preheat griddle to low/med or 350-375 degrees. Cut chicken breasts in half. Mix the glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Brush the glaze on both sides of the chicken.

2. Put some oil down and then the chicken breasts. Add bacon on the other side of griddle and cook to your liking. While chicken and bacon are cooking, make your mayo cream sauce and mix well.

3. After 3-4 minutes, flip both the bacon and chicken. Put some glaze on the bacon and chicken. Cook another 3 minutes and flip again adding glaze to both bacon and chicken.

4. While it finishes cooking, get your lettuce shredded and tomato cut. Remove bacon from griddle and drain on paper towels. Keep cooking chicken till internal temp is 165 degrees.

5. Lay your buns in bacon fat, cut side down to toast. When toasted to your liking, remove buns to the cutting board. Add mayonnaise cream sauce to each bun followed by a piece of chicken. Add two pieces of bacon per sandwich and add lettuce and tomato. Season the tomatoes with some Heifer Dust. Top with some more glaze. Add top bun and enjoy.
