This recipe was adapted from the PF Changs recipe for the sauce that was purchased. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
Kung Pow Chicken:
3 lbs chicken cut in 3/4" cubes
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 bottle PF Chang Kung Pow sauce
1/2 cup red bell pepper seeded and diced
1/2 cup yellow bell pepper diced
1/2 cup celery chopped
4 cloves garlic
2 thumbs ginger
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
Sesame Chicken:
1 cup yellow onion, peeled and chopped
1 cup red bell pepper seeded and diced
2 cups broccoli florets
1 bottle PF Chang Sesame sauce
Directions:
1. Put chicken in zip lock and add soy sauce and a chopped garlic clove. Let marinate for about 3 hours.
2. Put some oil down on a low/med griddle. Add Kung Pow veggie's to one side of the griddle. Add Sesame veggie's to the other side of the griddle. Put broccoli down in a separate area and after seasoning them, add water and a dome to steam. Add salt and pepper. Cook and steam the veggie's for a few minutes.
3. When veggie's are al dente, move them to the different sides of the griddle and increase temp to 425-450 degrees. Add some oil and then the chicken. Make sure the chicken is spread out so each piece has contact with the griddle. Add salt and pepper. After about a minute, flip chicken and cook for another minute or two. When done, seperate the chicken in half and move the different halves to the respective sides with the veggie's. Turn heat down to low.
4. Start with the sesame side and mix veggie's and chicken together. Add 1 thumb of ginger and 2 cloves garlic using a micro plane and mix. Pour sesame sauce over chicken and veggie's and mix well. Use enough sauce to coat everything well. Move to the side.
5. Take Kung Pow chicken and mix everything together well. Add ginger and garlic using a micro plane and mix. Add Kung Pow sauce and mix well. Add peanuts and mix
6. Plate separately and enjoy
