Pile everything good about breakfast into one bowl and call it a day, y'all. Today we're building a loaded Blackstone Breakfast Bowl with crispy tater crowns, bacon, sausage, drippy eggs, melty cheddar cheese, and homemade griddle gravy all stacked together into one bite of breakfast goodness.
Ingredients
- •1 lb (454g) breakfast sausage
- •8 slices bacon
- •24 oz (680g) tater crowns or shredded hash browns
- •2–3 tbsp (30–45mL) avocado oil
- •1/2 lb (227g) cheddar cheese, shredded
- •4 large eggs
- •2 green onions, sliced
- •Chicken Dust or seasoned salt, to taste
- •Hot sauce (optional)
Southern White Gravy
- •2 tbsp (30mL) bacon or sausage grease
- •2 tbsp (16g) all-purpose flour
- •1–1½ cups (240–360mL) milk or half-and-half
- •Chicken Dust and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1Preheat your Blackstone griddle for 5–10 minutes on medium heat.
- 2Add avocado oil and cook tater crowns/hash browns until golden and crispy. Move to cooler side when finished.
- 3Cook bacon until crispy, then move aside and chop into bite-size pieces.
- 4Cook sausage and break into crumbles while browning for additional flavor.
- 5Make gravy by combining grease and flour, stirring for about 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk or half-and-half until thickened. Season to taste.
- 6Cook eggs in a little bacon grease until whites are set and yolks remain runny.
- 7Build bowls by layering potatoes, sausage, bacon, cheese, gravy, eggs, and green onions.
- 8Finish with Chicken Dust and hot sauce if desired.
